Still Life Workshop
Still Life Workshop
21 August | Weds
10am - 3pm
A wonderful opportunity to explore a variety of still life setups, through drawing or painting.
The Clubhouse, Boham’s Road, Blewbury OX11 9HF
Drawing materials provided, paper sold at cost. More details below.
Drawing is a means of communicating your ideas and sharing your observations. Whether you are a professional artist or a beginner, drawing is like exercise for your eyes, and everyone can benefit from it.
Relax and unwind through drawing and painting as you explore a variety of still life setups over the course of a whole day. There will be several to choose from, each offering something different to enjoy and challenge. You can move around and study more than one, or stay put and focus on getting to know one really well.
Drawing materials are provided and paper is sold at cost, but feel free to bring paints, or a canvas if you’d like. We will break for tea and biscuits throughout the day and for lunch. Please bring lunch, or alternatively Savages Farm Shop and Cafe is a two minute drive.
Materials
So you are free to experiment I provide basic materials for you to help yourself to. Including charcoal, conté, pastels, ink, wash, white paint, pencils, rubbers, brushes and so on. There are boards, easels and donkeys for you to use. As well as masking tape, clips, jam jars and dishes (which make great paint pallets). Newsprint and cartridge papers can be purchased at cost (just pop some coins in the tin).
Covid Policy
In line with the government guidelines there is no requirement to test. I would politely request that you do not attend a class if you are unwell. Please only book onto the course if you are comfortable with this policy.
Cancellation Policy
If you miss a class you are very welcome to send a friend in your place. Unfortunately I am unable to fill places or to offer refunds for missed classes.
If I cancel a class I will in the first instance provide an alternative date for the cancelled class. If I am unable to arrange an alternative date then I will refund you for the cancelled class. I will not be able to refund you if I have offered an alternative date.
