10am - 3pm
A wonderful opportunity to learn how to develop your drawing into expressive paintings.
The Clubhouse, Boham’s Road, Blewbury OX11 9HF
Drawing materials provided, paper sold at cost. More details below.
Learn to develop your drawings into expressive paintings in this small group exploratory one day workshop. Spend the morning making dynamic and informative drawings from life with our wonderful model, then indulge your imagination and creativity as you develop these through further drawing and collage into beginnings for paintings. I’ll be sharing a little of the process I often use to help you learn how to develop even your simplest drawings into something more. You’ll have the option to experiment with the many materials available and with spaces limited to a small supportive group there is plenty of scope for flexibility in work and time for individual and group discussion.
Drawing materials are provided and paper is sold at cost. Please bring paints, and collage materials (if you have them). We will break for tea and biscuits throughout the day and for lunch. Please bring lunch, or alternatively Savages Farm Shop and Cafe is a two minute drive.
Materials
So you are free to experiment I provide basic materials for you to help yourself to. Including charcoal, conté, pastels, ink, wash, white paint, pencils, rubbers, brushes and so on. There are boards, easels and donkeys for you to use. As well as masking tape, clips, jam jars and dishes (which make great paint pallets). Newsprint and cartridge papers can be purchased at cost (just pop some coins in the tin).
Covid Policy
In line with the government guidelines there is no requirement to test. I would politely request that you do not attend a class if you are unwell. Please only book onto the course if you are comfortable with this policy.
